What is a "Urethane Fortified" floor finish? The name, `polyurethane', is somewhat misleading and can cause confusion when applied to urethane fortified floor finishes. The term polyurethane covers a wide variety of materials such as polyurethane foam, Spandex®, polyurethane varnishes and wood seals. Noted for excellent flexibility, toughness and abrasion resistance, polyurethanes are necessary in today's demanding floor finish If polyurethanes are so great, why don't we just develop a straight urethane floor finish? The number one reason is performance. When urethane is combined with traditional floor finish components such as acrylic copolymers and wax, a more complete, higher performing coating is achieved. That's why Pro Line Dymo Thane is urethane-fortified. |
